Big Blogger!

It was a busy couple of weeks in terms of wondering around, seeing some pretty sweet new places, and seeing more of the UK.  There's a ton of pics.  Take your time and enjoy everyone of them!  You know you want to! Ha. 

I was feeling home sick.  This was as close as I could get to Canada.

And at Canary Warf there's a huge shopping centre with Canada in the name!  

For some reason I thought Canary Warf was going to be all old, and full of history.  But turns out its the banking centre, and full of over paid suits pretending to be way to important.

Church by our flat.

Our flat mate hires a housekeeper once a week, so whenever she shows up unexpected I take a walk for a few hours around Wandsworth.  This is what I see.

So on Friday I thought I might go hang out with the sophisticated and see if any of the brain power would rub off on me!  Turns out not really, but I got to see some of the most amazing architecture. This is a collection of pics from the College town Oxford.

More bikes than cars in Oxford.  Not really.  But there should be.

Big Church.  I paid a couple quid to take the steps to the top and get a good view of the town.  Was worth it for sure!

They just kept coming.  It was like photographic eye candy.

Museum. 

I found the Oxford cemetery.  There where some amazing grave stones.

So after Oxford I was onto the coolest thing I have seen in the UK so far.  Windsor Castle.  Simply amazing.  Too much to look at.  

The Queen still visits on weekend.  On the day I was there, they had been doing a rehearsal for a dinner with a prince from the Middle East.  

Once again they won't let you take photo's inside the castle for some reason.  Damm them.  Anyways I might have taken a few snaps anyways.  Not the best photo's but gives you a little bit of an idea of the mass scale of collections and rooms inside.  And I didn't even make it into the Estate rooms cause they where closed due to the rehearsals.

You can't really see the rest of the table, but it was one piece that sat 168 people, and had 68 removable leaves.  Went the length of the room. 

They do changing of the guard here as well.

On Sunday Syn and I went to Cheddar Gorge.  Amazing underground caves close to Bathe.  This was also the birthplace of Cheddar cheese.  

They would let the cheese mature in the caves based on the temperature the caves stay at.  

Some cave digger found them back in the late 1800's.  There's a full skeleton nicknamed "Cheddar Man," who is England's oldest man.  The picture I got of him was blurry.  Sorry.

We walked almost to the top of the Cheddar Gorge.  There was a viewpoint of town.

After that we went and ate lunch on a bench starting at this Cathedral in Wells.  The bells and chimes where ringing the whole time we where there!

The best part is I took this after drinking a pint at the pub across the lane.  Imagine how many drunks this can fool.
