Hello all. I realize its been a few weeks since my last blogging. Been a little busy. I ended up doing a couple weeks of work, which gets in the way of taking pics, and wondering around. As some of you already know my wonderful girlfriend has gotten a job back in Canada, and went back to Vancouver last week. So we where trying to get as much good 'ol quality time together before she went! I follow her half way across the world, and then she heads back to Canada and leaves me here! What can I say? I love the girl! It's all good. My future is a little up in the air at the moment, but we will see what happens. I'm going to stay in the Uk till at least the New Year. {Syn will be coming home for the holidays.} Looking forward to a British Xmas. So we had planned on going to Paris last weekend for a romantic weekend getaway. Turns out I had no one to romance, but the city it's self. The Morrison charm paid off! Or at least I'd like to think so! There's a lot of pics for just one weekend. But there was just to much to take in! Please Enjoy.

| I took the Eurostar right into Paris. I had it all planned out to make the most of my time. First stop was the Arc. |
| The roundabout around the massive Arc is huge. And if you don't read French and don't see the signs for the underground path to get into the centre running though 8 lanes of traffic coming from every direction can be quite painful! Especially with a huge backpack, and a camera in hand. |
| Walking towards the Eiffel Tower. |
| It didn't really look that impressive from this far away. |
| The closer you got the better it became. |
| Picture for my Mom. Note: check out the Movember stash. |
| Across the south end of the park from the Tower. |
| Random Hotel. |
| Near the Tower |
| The Musee de l'Armee. |
| Random city street. |
| The stations are harder to locate than in London. But the signs have more character. |
| Notre Dame. |
| Yeah its pretty amazing. |
| After the church I headed over to La Tour Montparnasse. 50 stories up, and 360 degree view. Pretty cool. The boroughs went on for miles. |
| The sun was out for most of the day, and I planned it to be up there for the sunset, but the stinking clouds rolled in and kind of ruined my plan. Had to make the most of it! |
| The location of my hostel. Only checked in took a quick shower, cheap glass of red, and then back out to explore Paris at night. |
| I was trying to get to the Latin Quater. Never made it that far, but did find some cool buildings. |
| The next day it happened to be dripping down with rain. Worked out fine with me. Ate a croissant, had a coffee, then back on the metro for my dose of culture. Boy was I in for a surprise. The Louvre. The back of my head was blown off. Truly amazing. Wish I could have spent hours longer there. |
| I'm only going to give you a few example of the paintings. We would be here all stinking day if I took pics of them all. |
| And finally the one you knew was going to in the mix. I don't get it. Its an amazing painting, but really? There are so many more that where way more impressive if you ask me. |
| And now for my own "Works of Art." Judge me harshly! Ha. |
| No pubs in Paris. Just cafes. |
| Named after a French Botanist who categorized plants into families and developed a system of plant classification. See now your not only getting "art" but learning too! Multi-dimensional I am! {I had to google him.} |
| The Tower by Night. |
| I needed a drunk staggering deep background with a bottle in his hand. But he was behind the camera! |
| That was Paris in a nutshell. Show all your friends. |
This is the street Syn and I live on
Lucky13
So they say there are pubs on every corner. They might be right. The green awning with the 13 on it is the enterence to our flat. If you look down to the far right you will see the East Hill Free House, or pub. Closer than I would have ever thought I would live to a pub.
Rail
Empty train station close by
Thames
We are also about a 5 block walk to the Thames river.
Weymouth
Syn and I went down to a summer beach tourist town called Weymouth on sat. She and her friend Rachel where doing a 1 mile swim in the ocean to raise money for the British Heart Foundation. The town was a really cool setting for summer events
Syn and Rachel
Syn and Rachel before they went for a swim in the cold ocean!
Water
The start of the swim. 500 people rushing into cold ocean water! I went and had a coffee and breakfast
Kites
Later that afternoon we went back to Dorset {In the country} and found this spot high up in the hills and tried to fly a kite. Thanks to the help of another man who clearly knew how to fly a kite we where able to get the silly thing up in the air. Turned out to be quite a bit fun!
