Happy New Year to all! I spent my first Xmas in the UK. I had a great time. Synnove arrived back to London on Xmas eve. I had a great time with her family and friends. As part of our Xmas present we took a trip to Brugge in Belgium. So please enjoy the last UK blog for the time being. I'm on my way back to Vancouver till at least the end of March. I'm hoping to come back to London, and if/when I do, I'm hoping to pick up where I left off! I've almost had so much fun doing the blogs, you never know, I might keep them going in Vancouver. Now that I have some new friends in the UK, might have to keep them in the loop. Not to mention I've enjoyed getting behind the camera again. So I might surprise you all with more postings!

| They call Brugge "The Venice of the North." Lots of canals., and bridges. |

| It's a very old, and Gothic looking city. Simply amazing. |

| Brugge has a completely different feel during the day, than it does at night. |

| It was hard picking some good pics of both Syn and myself. We both got super sick, and where coughing and sneezing, up a storm for the 3 days we where there! |

| I tried to get her ice skating. We drank mulled wine, and watched instead. |

| Our B and B was really quaint and close to town. The lady who ran it was super nice, but..... |

| Syn has this talent of knowing when I'm getting ready to take a picture, and then jumping in front of it. Drives me nuts, but it still doesn't stop her! |

| We had some great meals while we where there. It was some of the best food I had eaten while I was away. |
 |
| And lets not forget the beer. This was the beer menu. This is me trying to tell you that there where over 400 Belgium beers, and not one I had heard of! I was in heaven!! I could have spend a week in that pub. |

| Syn thought it would be fun to take in some of the sights. We paid 25 Euro's for an ice sculpture exhibit, we had to wait in line for almost an hour, and was so packed with tourists we left after about 5 minutes. That will teach us. |

| We drive into Lille in France one afternoon to check out the sighs. |
 |
| It's amazing the difference in architecture between two cities that are in different countries, but only an hour apart. |

| We stopped at Nieuwpoort on the way back before getting on the ferry home. |
 |

So they say there are pubs on every corner. They might be right. The green awning with the 13 on it is the enterence to our flat. If you look down to the far right you will see the East Hill Free House, or pub. Closer than I would have ever thought I would live to a pub.

Weymouth
Syn and I went down to a summer beach tourist town called Weymouth on sat. She and her friend Rachel where doing a 1 mile swim in the ocean to raise money for the British Heart Foundation. The town was a really cool setting for summer events

Kites
Later that afternoon we went back to Dorset {In the country} and found this spot high up in the hills and tried to fly a kite. Thanks to the help of another man who clearly knew how to fly a kite we where able to get the silly thing up in the air. Turned out to be quite a bit fun!
